The straight and true road cuts through the landscape, appearing to contradict the topographical meandering of the terrain. During the “wet”, the most travelled straight and direct route must be sacrificed, in order to travel safely over the higher and drier ground. Alternate routes appear. Creating a loose geometry over the earth.
